Kindle Fire仅用三个月就超过其它Android平板电脑

尽管评价好坏参半，然而亚马逊的平板Kindle Fire在12月份就售出了超过400万部。从11月到1月，Kindle Fires仅用三个月就在市场份额上超过了其它Android平板。Kindle Fires市场占有率为36%，三星Galaxy Tab从11月的63%降至36%，摩托罗拉Xoom、华硕Transformer和宏基Iconia Tab合起来只有18%。

在付费应用上，Kindle Fire的表现也强于竞争对手Galaxy Tab。Kindle Fire用户购买付费应用的数量是Galaxy Tab的2.53倍。分析专家对比了Amazon App Store和Android Market中Top5付费应用的下载量，认为现在亚马逊的应用商店为开发商带来的收益超过了官方应用商店。
